Item Description
These particular Fluorites are iconic, for their beautiful color and form. This piece is distinctive and different for the fact that it shows two different morphologies on the same piece, which is RARE in my experience. There are several well-formed, euhedral octahedral crystals measuring up to 2.0 cm, showing a mixture of a light green and purple hues, which are overgrowing a single cubic Fluorite crystal of the same bi-colored nature. No major damage, and really interesting for any fan of crystal habits, or worldwide Fluorites. A few decades ago, these pieces were a bit more plentiful, but they are not nearly as common on the market today. A very attractive piece of this attractive and well-known material.
From the collection of Dave Stoudt with a label stating that it was originally part of the Gene Tribbey collection.
