Fluorite (bi-colored crystals)

Item Description

There is such a wide array of Fluorites from the various mines in China. Virtually every color of the rainbow is represented in these Fluorites, and you'll often find them in good sized display specimen. This piece is a classic example of the famous pieces from the classic De'an Mine. It features a group of very sharp, well-formed, octahedral crystals of a gentle green hue highlighted by purple edges. The largest crystal measures 2.6 cm on edge. When backlit, you can see the crystals pass light and have a lovely internal "misty" quality. No matrix, and when you flip the piece over, you can see that it's partially recrystallized. It's not a complete "floater", as there are few areas of separation around the periphery, but it's in great shape overall.
