Fluorite (bi-colored crystals)

Item Description

A fine example of these beautiful and distinctive Fluorite specimens from New Mexico. These pieces are not nearly as common on the market as they were years ago. This piece doesn't have a specific claim attributed to it, only the Pine Canyon Deposit. It features attractive gemmy bi-colored Fluorite octahedra measuring up to 1.6 cm. The upper portion of the crystals have a lovely purple hue with an attractive green color underneath. Most of the crystals are undamaged, but there are some small imperfections here and there. Overall it's a very attractive piece of this distinctive and beautiful material.
From the collection of the beloved mineral dealer and collector Rock H. Currier (1940-2015) who was the long-time owner of Jewel Tunnel Imports. Collection #RHC4631.
