Item Description
A good quality, older Fluorite specimen from the famous pegmatite near Nagar. The piece was mined in the mid 1990's, and is one of the more RICHLY colored pieces of this material (especially a twinned Fluorite) that I've offered in the auctions. A very gemmy quality, good-sized deep emerald green and soft pink color Spinel-law twinned Fluorite crystal with well-defined, sharp faces. The crystal is certainly gemmy enough to cut a good-sized gemstone. Very little damage to speak of (save one cleaved face) and displayable from several angles. I don't have to tell you how the value of Nagar Fluorites has risen over the years, and this is good representative twinned Fluorite specimen with a strong color from this classic Pakistani locality. This is an uncommon specimen from this area which commonly features etched, or highly modified pale pink and green crystals of Fluorite. BETTER IN PERSON, hard to photograph.
