Fluorite (bi-color phantom crystals) (ex Ross Lille Collection)

Here we have a fantastic gemmy "phantom" Fluorite from the famous Annabel Lee Mine. This full cabinet sized specimen features several excellent quality, large, sharp, lustrous, gemmy, bi-color (purple and golden) "phantom" cubic crystals of Fluorite measuring up to a full 5.0 cm with no matrix. The reverse side of the piece actually hosts a handful of small sparkling "jewel"-like Calcite crystals (not pictured), but a few of them can be seen on the front as well. The piece comes from the collection of Ross Lillie (# RCL0386), and his label states that it was mined in a "NEW OREBODY!!" called "Bahama" in the 2nd week of July 1991 by Wig Jones. A truly fine quality display specimen from this important mine in Southern Illinois. A great piece to add to your collection, especially if you collect Fluorites, Southern Illinois specimens, or pieces with fine crystals. The piece comes with a label from Fine Minerals International with a price tag of $3,500 from a few years ago, and I could honestly see a piece like this selling in the $4,000+ range today.
