Fluorite (beautiful color)

The impressive Chifeng area in Inner Mongolia is one of the great contemporary Chinese localities, and has produced I think the most diverse amount of Fluorites in terms of colors, styles and morphologies. We've seen everything from colorless to black in terms of hues, and newer finds keep producing something unique and different. Typically the green Fluorites from this area are a bit on the softer side in terms of saturation, but this find from a 2018s ago produced what are easily some of the most VIVID green examples found. This was from a small find, and we have not seen more since, and honestly I am not even sure of an exact mine location at this time. There were only a few really great pieces found, to my knowledge, making it a rather unique and interesting China. This piece is a wonderful showy small cabinet specimen featuring well-formed, cubic crystals with dodecahedral modifications, along with good internal gemminess and a glowing strong green color when backlit. There is not matrix to speak of really, just a solid group of eye-catching Fluorite. The top/display side of the piece is in fine shape, while the underside is forgivably contacted where the piece was separated from the pocket wall.
