Item Description
Beautiful bi-colored rich grape purple to violet, gemmy and lustrous fluorite cubes, to 1.5 cm, are aesthetically set in a large sculptural vug. The parallel-growth barite blades on the left and patches of tiny glassy quartz points among the cubes are typical, excellent contrasting accessories. Purple or blue is a common color for Colunga District mines, but these cubes have an exceptionally rich purple hue. Choice, excellent and uncommon color fluorite combination from the area, possibly from the Emilio Mine. Ex Paul Zerfass Collection.
