Item Description
This aesthetic fluorite and baryte combination was recovered in mid-1980 during early development of the famous Denton Mine and was "one of the first and very exciting barites found in mine." (Ross Lillie note on label.) I really like the way the nearly pristine, creamy, bladed baryte cluster in attached to the lustrous, rich purple fluorite cube with frosted faces. The cube glows, when backlit and shows nifty darker edge phantoms. One corner of the cube is cleaved, but this remains a most excellent and important combination of the species during early development of the mine.
