Item Description

Fine cluster of gemmy, cubic Fluorite crystals from eastern Siberia. The Fluorites have a green color, and where cleaved at the contact, you can see how gemmy some of them truly are. The largest of these cubes is 2 cm. Interestingly, if you look at the area totally covered by the micro Siderite crystals, it almost appears as if that portion of the cluster is octahedral in form, indicating a possible habit change as the Fluorites grew. That certainly adds even more mineralogical interest to the already good, highly representative piece. I had not seen another like this!
