Fluorite and Schorl on Feldspar

Erongo Fluorites are known and desired throughout the mineral world, with this excellent, small-cabinet combination piece being a prime example. Cubic in form, the Fluorite has the classic, instantly-recognizable green color with curved, purple coloration along each of the edges. The lustrous, corner modifications add an unexpected ripple that enhances the 3.2 cm crystal even more. The Fluorite in penetrated by an amazing, L-shaped Schorl crystal that almost hides in the foreground as you take in the beauty of the large Fluorite. Whitish, granular Feldspar matrix adds a nice contrast in both color and form. If the sheer quality wasn't enough already, the Fluorites fluoresce purplish-blue with white highlights and the Feldspars a reddish-orange. There have been many fine Erongo specimens, and I rate this highly for its form, interest, and aesthetics.
