From the famous Yaogangxian Mine, famous for production of fluorite and where Rhodochrosites are almost unheard of, comes this excellent, cabinet-sized combination piece. Naturally, the eye is first drawn to the significant pair of gemmy and lustrous, highly-fluorescent, 2.1 cm Fluorite crystals that hold court over the crystalline Quartz matrix. Only later as it dawns on you that plate also has a dusting of micro Rhodochrosites on the crystals, like pink snow; as well as a significant field of small, bladed Rhodos on the back, you realize just how excellent this specimen is. It is a unique combination, rare for anywhere, especially China. The contrasts are subtle, and special. It is a large piece with exceptionally sharp crystals that leap out.
