Item Description
Sculptural and aesthetic small cabinet fluorite and quartz combination from this well-known extinct underground Sn-Cu-W mine in Tasmania, closed in 1986 (MINDAT). A choice spray of four sharply terminated, gemmy, quartz crystals, to 4.0 cm, is nicely accented with clusters of pretty mint-green, gemmy to translucent, fluorite cubes, to 1.3 cm, on both the quartz crystals and cascading down the front of the elongated specimen. Purple LW UV fluorescence. The mine has produced some of Australia's best fluorite and this is a showy and excellent combination example.
