Item Description

This is an engaging and unusual combination piece from the famous Erongo mountains. The translucent/transparent Quartz crystal is remarkably tabular, doubly-terminated, and has a silky, striated luster. (it has one clean repair in the middle but this can be undone easily and leaves a beautiful specimen as well). It is impressive at over 14 cm long, and fully one-third is truly gemmy. The long edges are are actually slanted so that the crystal looks rhombohedral in cross-section...Very unusual for a Quartz. Perched near one termination is a sharp 1.4 cm Fluorite crystal. The green, gemmy crystal has modified corners and a silky luster. One outstanding feature is that the Fluorite wraps around one edge of the Quartz, making it look 'speared' from one angle. Very aesthetic overall, especially where the Fluorite wraps around.
