Fluorite and Quartz (classic locale)

Item Description

A sculptural and excellent small cabinet fluorite combination specimen from the famous Yaogangxian Mine, from modern finds. An dramatic intergrown stepped-growth cluster of glassy, water-clear gem light blue fluorite cubes, to 2.0 cm, have fanciful purple edge phantoms. You can see directly down to the scattered purple cores of some of the cubes. The mounded cubes are very aesthetically accented by the penetrating 2.3 cm quartz crystal and scattered clusters of tiny muscovite plates. The fluorites are in great shape overall, with only one bruised corner in the interior and the noted periphery wear. Modest purple fluorescence. MUCH better in person, as the gemminess, glassiness and lustre made photography difficult.
