Item Description

Aesthetic and surprising large two-sided fluorite and quartz combination from the well-known De'an Mine of China. A beautiful, sharp, 4.0 x 3.7 x 2.7 cm, fluorite cuboctahedron is jauntily set atop quartz points on the mounded, banded, massive quartz matrix. The lustrous, interestingly stepped-growth fluorite appears to be very dark purple in normal to bright light, but GLOWS with vibrant grape-jelly purple, when backlit. The SURPRISE is on the bottom! Here quartz has casted a very large fluorite crystal, leaving only etched remnants of the crystal. A fascinating large two-sided combination from the locale.
