Item Description

One of the more classic styles from the great Florite locallity of Clay Center, this gem is littered with dozens upon dozens of completely gemmy, honey-yellow Fluorites. The largest is about .6 cm, and all have a superb glassy luster. The Fluorites have excellent fluorescence in both short and long wave UV. The Fluorites are on matrix, and intergrown with thin, delicate blades of Celestine. Visually, they are minor compared to the Fluorites, so the damage some of the have has no effect on the overall beauty of the piece. A very good miniature from finds in the late 1980s.
