Item Description
Dramatically intergrown, highly lustrous, rich grape-purple fluorite cubes, to 3.5 cm, form a most sculptural and aesthetic combination small cabinet from this less well-known Cave-in-Rock District Mine. Some of the smaller cubes and corners of the larger ones have gorgeous gemminess to translucence and stunning color-zoning. The cubes have interesting smooth to stepped-growth crystal faces, adding character. The back is festooned with tiny sparkly nailhead spar calcite crystals, an uncommon combination for the mine. Rare and exceptional old-time combination material from the Ross Lillie Collection # 2200. Mined calculated 1930s.
