Item Description

Classic and showy, LARGE CABINET, combination material from the famous Annabel Lee Mine of Southern Illinois. The Annabel Lee Mine is noted for color-zoned, sky-blue fluorite with starkly contrasting, golden-amber cores. The upper half of this large piece is a beautiful example of this varietal. The "porch" on the lower half of the piece is solidly covered with glassy and lustrous, colorless, calcite rhombs, which spill over on to the fluorite cubes, as well. The large fluorite on the left is 6.0 cm. The fluorite display faces and the tops of the cubes are in excellent shape. Periphery wear is noted on the sides and back of the piece, but are really very minimally detracting. This is an excellent, large, combination example of pretty color-zoned fluorite and calcite from this noted locale. Ex Bill Fritzler Collection.
