Item Description

This is an attractive small cabinet sized display specimen of the famous material from the Moscona Mine in Spain featuring dozens of sharp, gemmy, lustrous, rich golden cubic crystals of Fluorite measuring up to 1.3 cm on edge. Tiny dark "spots" of Marcasite can be seen sprinkled around the Fluorites, and the backside of the piece shows small sparkling grey Barite blades and drusy Calcite to really give it character and flash. The Fluorite crystals are so gemmy and they were difficult to photograph, and honestly the piece looks better in person. Minor damage can be seen, but overall the piece is in good shape. A very worthwhile and attractive Fluorite specimen from this well known Fluorite producing district.
