Item Description

Classic, rich bi-color purple fluorite cubes on this sculptural and impactful large cluster of densely intergrown cubes from the famous deposits at Melchor Muzquiz. The satin lustre, stepped-growth, translucent cubes, to 3.3 cm, appear to be deep purple with violet edges in normal light. BUT, back lighting reveals the cubes have a beautiful red-violet hue. This appears to be an uncommon violet hue combination from this well-known locale. A very fine and rich large example of this color varietal. Valued at $825 by the former dealer.
