Item Description
A fine old miniature of Dundas Quarry, Ontario Fluorite! The two largest crystals in this small cluster measure 1.8cm across with the characteristic light coffee color in the center and a faintly tinted rim. These two crystals have fine transparency and razor sharp edges with a glassy luster. The other three smaller crystals are similar but are translucent and only partially complete. The top Fluorite crystal has a cluster of fine drusy Fluorite on the corner with a little limestone matrix trailing down the backside. Not easy to obtain on the market these days. The Fluorites have a soft yellow-white fluorescence. Classic for the location, and very attractive. This Fluorite, the brownish core in particular, fluoresces a bright orange-yellow in short wave UV and also phosphoresces!
