Fluorite

Item Description

Sharp, lustrous blue-green (more of a yellow-green when backlit) color cubes of Fluorite measuring up to 1.2 cm. The luster is almost "wet"-looking and the faces are sharp and smooth. A minor selective deposition of sparkling white Barite makes for a great touch. These are not common on the market, and pieces with this quality and showiness are difficult to find. The reverse side of the specimen shows that it's actually crystallized on the back. I'm very impressed by the immense variety of colors of Fluorite that are seen from this locality.
