Item Description

A really attractive Fluorite specimen showing a gorgeous 3.2 cm purple color, with EXCELLENT internal gem clarity. The color is captivating, and even shows dark "phantoms" on the eges. For all of the Fluorite to be found in China, this one is superior to than many from a quality standpoint, and a worthwhile piece to add to a Fluorite suite. The surface of the crystal has a gentle luster and tiny "hillocked" faces (possibly small cubic or tetrahexahedral modifications). For the most part, the piece is in great shape overall with only a tiny nick on the upper corner. Associated Calcite, Muscovite and Arsenopyrite make for a good contrast. China never seems to run out of interesting and attractive specimens, even when it comes to common species like Fluorite. Don't miss out. Valued at $950.
