Item Description

This Fluorite does not resemble the majority of Ruyuan fluorites that I've seen, but I was assured the locality is correct because the Chinese dealer who sold it to me said he acquired it directly at the mine. It features a predominant, stacked group of emerald green Fluorite octahedra measuring 1.3 cm with some addtional Fluorites sitting on Quartz crystal matrix. There is also an underlying greenish-black mineral, but there are no other species reported from this mine aside from Fluorite, Quartz and Pyrite. The color is strong for a smaller Fluorite crystal group, but it's really distinctive and stands out from the majority of Fluorites I've seen from China. If you collect Fluorites or Chinese minerals, don't miss out on this one, it's just "different" from any other Fluorite I've seen from China.
