Item Description

Many fine, sharp, gemmy, interpenetrant twins (on a cube-diagonal twinning axis) - as often seen from this locality - sitting on matrix. This form is what makes these specimens so desirable from the English lead mines at Weardale. These are modern classics and really beautiful Fluorites on a worldwide scale. Good color ranging from beautiful blue-green indoors to the classic purple shade in sunlight. The piece shows the classic bright purple UV fluorescence that is often seen in Rogerley Fluorites. The largest crystal measures 7 mm.
