Fluorite

Item Description

Large, 4.2 cm single crystal of Fluorite from the Erongo Mountains. The surface is silky and lustrous, with an attractive, slightly undulating appearance. The majority of the crystal is grass green, followed by a narrow, well-defined green zone and then a final clear band. There is also a wisp of purple, which would be classic for Erongo Fluorites. The base of the crystal, and one corner, is contacted, but basically the enire upper quarter of the crystal is complete, making the presentation side quite agreeable. This is a fine, representative Fluorite for Erongo, and the sheer dimensions of the face make it exceptional.
