Item Description

Despite the fact that there are only a handful of minerals found at the Elmwood mine, some of them are among the most recognizable minerals in the world. The classic purple Fluorites are a favorite among collectors, and it's easy to see why. This piece features several sharp, gemmy, purple, "phantom" cubic crystals of Fluorite measuring up to 1.2 cm on edge associated with white Dolomite and minor reddish-brown Sphalerite on matrix. Good shape overall, and worthwhile for a reference collection. A classic example of an Elmwood Fluorite on matrix.
