Item Description

Despite the fact that there are only a handful of minerals found at the Elmwood mine, they are among the most recognizable minerals in the world. The classic purple Fluorites are a favorite among collectors, and it's easy to see why. This piece features a fairly sharp, GEM/gemmy, beautiful rich purple color, cubic crystal of Fluorite measuring 2.5 cm on edge with a small amount of white Dolomite, reddish Sphalerite and micro Quartz. A classic example of an Elmwood Fluorite. This piece is close to 30 years old, and is a worthwhile little display piece especially coming from this prominent and celebrated zinc ore body!
