A complete, natural, perfectly balanced gem octahedron of pink fluorite from the significant august 2019 find here. This is a total floater, complete all around and with perfect symmetry! It has a rich pink color compared to most in the size. These formed as floater crystals in nests of matted, fibrous actinolite needles, floating up above quartz matrix plates. Really unusual occurrence! Perfect crystals of this size, to 2.8 cm on edge, look more like a carved children's toy than a natural crystal. They seem TOO perfect, but this is legit, hence the shock of the discovery which has not been replicated since (now 3 years after). We have seen crystals of this size and quality on the market at all kinds of prices, from $500 to $2500, depending on who and when. Minor, tiny, thin needles of actinolite float within, on close inspection, as a bonus.
