Item Description

Mineral specimens from this very obscure Hardin County fluorite mine are SUPER RARE. The striking, densely stepped-growth, pretty light lavender fluorite cubes have juicy waxy luster. They host two rare balls of secondary gray fluorite cubes and a nifty cluster of straw-yellown calcite crystals. Ex Ross Lillie Collection # 2223. His handwritten note states: "Exceedingly rare example of "Bird's Nest" form of spar. Unique from this location. Choice & an important piece." Ex Tom Wiesner Collection and mined in August, 1979. Purple fluorescent. Several fine display views.
