An impressive, shapely, first generation octahedral fluorite pyramid is dramatically embellished with artistically placed second generation gem fluorite cubes from the famous Xianghualing Mine. The translucent green octahedron has frosted, stepped-growth faces while the striking lighter green gem cubes have very glassy and lustrous faces. Rich purple fluorescence. This fascinating, highly unusual and uncommon combination is from the Dr. Steve Smale Collection, and dates from the 1990s - not a modern style! Steve has assembled one of the world's finest private collections and is also a world renowned mathematician. He collects only exceptional quality specimens.
