Item Description

A lovely Fluorite specimen from the Xiefang Mine in China featuring two generations of growth with soft silvery colored cubic crystals overgrowing a previous generation of strong green colored octahedral crystals underneath. The largest octahedron measures about 6.1 cm on edge. The piece is largely crystallized all over, as the bottom has a small overgrowth of little colorless Fluorites, and the periphery is nearly unblemished, but I won't go so far as to call it a complete "floater", because I can find some tiny imperfections when looking closely. When backlit, the piece shows good internal gemminess with that glowing green hue. A lovely showy example of these attractive Fluorites from Xiefang.
