Fluorite

Striking, large single crystal of the now-famous 'alien' Fluorites that came out of Erongo just a few years ago. This large single is 6 cm on edge, though it is not a complete cube (and only contacted in one spot). All faces are gemmy, and allow you to see those incredible bright green diamond eyes (about 1.5 cm in size in the normal 'eye' to an incredible 5.5 cm green core) when lit properly. What makes this exceptional, in addition to the visible core, is that this crystal has an entire new generation of gemmy clear Fluorite coating the normal purple and green Fluorite. This added zone, banded itelf, is about .8 cm thick. I have not seen it on any other of these famous Fluorites, and it adds a whole other dimension to this piece. It would be very safe to say that this small find has been very much in demand, and they do not often come available in this quality. Honestly, this one is my favorite of those that have been made available in the auctions. INTENSE COLOR!
