Item Description

This is a one of the less common faceted stones, though most people have seen an abundance of it in other respects on the market. This gem is one of the few faceted Fluorites I've seen from Brazil. Now it is possible that this gem did not originate from Brazil, but was faceted there, and often the Brazilians will mark material that they cut themselves as being from Brazil (this is the case with Ametrine that is truly from Bolivia, but most of it is cut in Brazil and marketed as being Brazilian in origin). Nonetheless, there isn't a lot of "colorless" Fluorite on the market from any locality. This is a very attractive, bright, nearly eye clean, virtually colorless, "Pear" cut gem. It is a decent size stone for Fluorite, and a hard to find colorless stone for the material.
