Item Description

One of the better examples of the new fluorites coming out of the old Mundo Nuevo, from a 2009 find. Most of the specimen consists of two intergrown octahedra of sea green, translucent fluorite, covered with minute hexagonal etching patterns. A small cluster of quartz crystals accent one side. Small cube faces terminate the octahedra. The piece just GLOWS with backlighting. Impressive for size, completeness, and symmetry all around, this is a fine example at a reasonable price. Comes with a dealer label showing a $1,800 price from the Tucson 2010 show. But just didnt fit when the collector got home with it...so he is liquidating here to your gain! I think the price eminently fair. 1400 grms. hefty!
