Item Description
A wonderful, and fine quality small cabinet-sized display specimen of these distinctive Fluorites from the Jaimina Mine in Spain. The piece features multiple, very gemmy, glassy, light silvery-blue color crystals of Fluorite measuring 3.7 cm on edge with minor associated white Baryte blades on the side. The crystals show a slight color shift from a silvery-blue in sunlight to more of a silvery-lavender in indoor lighting. The front / display side of the piece is great condition, with no real damage that I can see, though it is not complete on the back where it was removed from the pocket wall. The habit of the Fluorite crystals is predominantly cubic, but you can clearly see distinctive classic tetrahexahedral raised modifications for a great touch. A really wonderful and attractive specimen from this well known Fluorite producing district. Valued $2,000
From the collection of Raul Sanabria Orellana, whose label states that this specimen was obtained in December of 2020.
