Item Description

Dazzling triangular shaped specimen of groups of stacked modified cubic crystals of translucent, grape purple Fluorite crystals. The lustrous modified cubic Fluorites, individually up to 2.2 cm, have thick bevelled edges with some faint zoning consisting of a lighter center and darker purple edges. Individual clusters have visible separation with some containing microcrystalline Quartz between them. It is fascinating how each cluster exhibits different complexity levels of stepped crystal growth. Under good lighting the color "pops" with a rich grape juice, almost raspberry color. The displayed Fluorite crystals are in great condition with only one small bruise present with the triangular base and sides having imperfections from extraction. A magnificent Fluorite specimen from early 2000s finds in Yiwu, China for its size, form and rich color. Ex. Jack Halpern Collection No. 3408.
