Vivid, bright-green color, as well as a sharp crystal shape and a rich, cornflower-blue fluorescence, are hallmarks of the popular Fluorites from Riemvasmaak from finds of the early 2000s, now long gone. Fluorites from this well-known locality are predominantly octahedral, and the intergrown and stacked nature of this 4.1 cm cluster is both highly-unusual and attractive. Translucent-to-gemmy, the clarity allows the long, slender inclusion to show dramatically. The color and fluorescence well-represent this famous locality. Orange River has produced similar specimens (without the strong color though), and sometimes pieces are labeled as such, but the majority are from Riemvasmaak. Specimens like this, with single isolated crystals of transparency and top color, are rare these days. Valued 2500-3500.
