Fluorite

Item Description

A beautiful classic example of the Fluorites from the Xianghualing Mine. This locality for the better part of 25 years has been one of premier Fluorite-producing mines in China. The quality and scope of the numerous specimens that have come from this locality is about as good as anything you'll find in the entire country. This specimen hosts a sharp, lustrous, gemmy, soft green colored cube measuring 3.2 cm on edge, associated with a few smaller Fluorites, free of matrix. Upon close inspection, I can see an indentation on the side of the main Fluorite crystal, but it almost looks like it was naturally etched, and it's not true damage, as I there are small crystallized reflections. Classic, showy material that will go down as true Chinese classics. I value this one in the $1,5000 range.
