Item Description

A subtle, classic, older French Flourite plate from Peyrebrune with intergrown, glassy, translucent, yellow cubes. The large cube in the center is 2.8 x 2.5 cm. The Fluorites have an pleasing uniform straw yellow color saturation that becomes a more robust almost lemon yellow glow with backlighting. Much brighter and better in person! There is a secondary unidentified grey mineral that is both on the surface and included within the Fluorites. The inclusions appear to be very shallow with several examples of the included grey material extending out of the Fluorites on to the surface. The piece is in good condition but a number of bumps and some wear is noted. A very large French classic. It has bright purple fluorescence. Ex. Kurt Hefendehl.
