Item Description

A superb example of the quality of sharp and intergrown cubic Fluorites that have been extracted from the famous Cave in Rock Mining District since the 1970s-1990s. The razor sharp clean cubic crystals, up to 6.2 cm on edge, with vitreous luster and dark purple color were a mainstay of the material of the area. When backlit, the edges glow a light purple with dark purple phantoms. There are also tiny secondary clear calcites sprinkled across the Fluorites. The piece is in great condition with only minor periphery wear. A great representative example from this classic locale. Ex. Kurt Hefendehl. A large, showy piece for the price, at auction. It's better when backlit!
