Item Description

Gorgeous, gemmy, rich golden-amber fluorite cubes cover this impressive, triangular small cabinet plate from the well-known Wolsendorf fluorite mining district. The large penetration pair of cubes along one edge is 2.5 cm across. Probably from the well-known Marienschacht Mine or the Johannesschacht Mine, known for such rich golden-amber fluorites, which ceased operations in 1979 and 1961, respectively (MINDAT). The specimen does have periphery wear, but this remains a highly representative example of the striking, gemmy, rich golden-amber varietal. Ex Chet Lemanski Collection No. 0572Cl and acquired in 1985.
