Item Description
This is a superb, very colorful example of the classic stepped, intricate fluorites from the Tule Mine in Mexico, with a pretty color. It is a solid plate of Fluorite and all of the crystals on this piece are transparent to translucent with pale purple bodies and rich, grape purple highlighted rims that are largely a function of orientation. The crystals range in size from 5 mm to 1.7 cm across with many having a plethora of tiny growth hillocks composed of perfectly oriented miniscule cubes for which this old locale is historically known and famous for! Despite the size, it is nearly pristine - a few minor dings are only visible if up close. A colorful piece!
