Item Description

This is a textbook cluster of bladed, tabular fluorapophyllite crystals from the Fengjiashan Mine in China that has a slightly straw-colored/yellowish hue to them. All the fluorapophyllite crystals are sitting on a large amethyst crystal that makes it to be an important, uncommon specimen. Unlike the big tabular crystals from recent finds which are different to the eye, the best of these came out around 2000, in this style: and are still unique today. Rare for China, this is a select cluster in which the contrasts in color and form add greatly to the aesthetics. Minute damage only at the base of the specimen, and to one central crystal. A very pretty specimen of a classic find!
