A classic specimen of this famous material from India featuring good quality, sharp, lustrous, blocky, beautiful green colored Fluorapophyllite-(K) crystals measuring up to 2.3 cm associated with pearly white colored crystals of Stilbite-(Ca) sitting in a vug of basalt matrix. The piece is in great shape overall and the displayability is wonderful as you can see from the photos. Indian Zeolites (and associated species - Apophyllite is not a Zeolite) may still be fairly common on the market, but you cannot deny the fact that they are colorful, attractive, highly displayable and several of them are the finest examples of their respective species extant ! It's almost important to note that most crystals of Apophyllite around the world are either white or colorless, and GREEN crystals like this are rare, so to find big showy display piece with such colorful Apophyllite crystals is significant. No real damage that I can see with the naked eye and it sits very well on its own without the aid of a base or clay. Valued around $2,000 - $2,500 retail.
