Item Description
There are fair number of Zeolites and associated minerals from India on the market these days, but I will say that their plentifulness causes them to be underappreciated. It's important to stress that a good percentage of these specimens are simply among the finest crystallized examples of their respective particular species extant. This piece is a showy big display specimen featuring a few very sharp, rather lustrous, blocky crystals of color-zoned (from green to yellow to colorless) Fluorapophyllite-(K) associated with light peach colored, thick blades of Stilbite on sawn basalt matrix. The largest Apophyllite crystal is doubly-terminated and measures 5.7 cm on edge. Minor roughness can be seen around the edges, but it's a beautiful and eye-catching piece, and will probably end up being a great bargain for somebody. One day (eventually) India will not produce any more of these Zeolites, and they will more receive great recognition for being the amazing display specimens that they are.
