Fluorapophyllite-(K) with Stilbite-(Ca)

A highly aesthetic and good-looking specimen of this classic material from India featuring a very sharp, highly lustrous, thick, prismatic, beautiful light green and colorless Fluorapophyllite-(K) crystal measuring 8.7 cm associated with additional smaller Apophyllites of equal quality, along with pale peach colored crystals of Stilbite-(Ca) sitting a thin layer of basalt matrix. A thin "druse" of tiny white Stilbite crystals can be seen partially coating a few sides of the largest Apophyllite crystal for a nice touch. The piece is in fantastic shape overall and the displayability is wonderful as you can see from the video. Indian Zeolites (and associated species - Apophyllite is not a Zeolite) may still be fairly common on the market, but you cannot deny the fact that they are colorful, attractive, highly displayable and several of them are the finest examples of their respective species extant ! It's almost important to note that most crystals of Apophyllite around the world are either white or colorless, and GREEN crystals like this are rare, so to find big showy display piece with such colorful Apophyllite crystals is significant.
