A fine quality and impressive specimen from Jalgaon, India featuring multiple, razor-sharp, rather lustrous, gemmy/translucent, colorless tetragonal prisms of Fluorapophyllite-(K) associated with virtreous "bow tie"-shaped group of Stilbite-Ca of a gorgeous salmon pink color. The larges Apophyllite measures 7.2 cm, and the Stilbite "bow tie" measures 6.4 cm. This piece is very good quality all around, and certainly a must have for any fan of minerals from the Deccan Trap. From the collection of the beloved mineral dealer and collector Rock H. Currier (1940-2015) who was the long-time owner of Jewel Tunnel Imports. Collection #RHC40796. Rock travelled the world in search of mineral specimens, and built and impressive collection over his lifetime. He was one of the more colorful and unforgettable figures in the mineral world.
