Item Description

A classic example of the famous green Fluorapophyllite-(K) specimens from the Deccan Trap in India. These crystals get their color from vanadium content, which really separates them from other Apophyllites around the world, which are typically white or colorless. This piece hosts many excellent, sharp, lustrous, very gemmy, prismatic crystals with attractive pyramidal terminations measuring up to 1.3 cm sitting on a layer of chalky white Heulandite-Ca crystals on basalt matrix. This is an older specimen dating back to the 1980s, and a good example of the quality that was coming out in back in the day. These pieces might be fairly common on the market, but you cannot deny that they are some of the finest representations of their respective species ever seen.
