Item Description

This is a lovely example of these classic Apophyllites form Pune. The piece hosts a highly lustrous, doubly-terminated, very light yellow-green and colorless Fluorapophyllite-(K) crystal measuring 5.0 cm long, sitting on a thin layer of matrix. This one comes from an older find at Pune, early 1990s. No major damage, and just a pretty specimen of this well-known material.

His accomplishments include being awarded the Fields Medal in 1966 along with being the awarded the Wolf Prize in mathematics in 2007.
